If you were lucky enough to be among early viewers of Project Hail Mary, you may have seen they fun popcorn buckets that were available during opening week. My husband normally yells at me for silly popcorn buckets, but when I saw the Rocky popcorn bucket, I had bigger plans to turn it into a terrarium.
We sealed the popcorn bucket with aquarium silicone sealant to make sure no water or moisture drained from the bottom of the terrarium. We then layered in lava rocks, a screen, and soil into the bottom before selecting the plants and moss to include. The finish touch was to put Rocky isn’t his new habitat.
Check out the video below to see the process.
Project Hail Mary is one of my favorite audiobooks of all time, so it is no surprise that the movie lived up to the same hype. This film was made for IMAX screens and creates a visual experience like no other. I loved learning that the film was created with no green/blue screens. There was a puppeteer for Rocky, and the set was practical. I highly suggest everyone experience the amazing audiobook and then the movie.
