I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Hasbro. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
I think everyone I know has owned Play-Doh, it’s been around since the 50’s. I remember making pretend Play-Doh ice cream cones as a kid. Actually I think everything I made turned out to be a food item. “Don’t eat that”, I remember my Mom saying to me, and now I’m telling my kids the same thing.
Last week I rolled out our favorite Mostly Math Teaching Tablecloth to protect my dining room table from the Play-Doh explosion that was about to commence. My youngest was making coins to count and place on the numbers.
So the girls got busy make fun little creations together. My Preschooler likes using the tools to cut of shapes.
It made me laugh when I saw my oldest have made a pizza out of Play-Doh. She even sliced it up and served a slice to everyone in the family. 
But then we started working on our World Play-Doh day sculpt. We had to think of some clever American icons that stood out to us. After some brainstorming with my daughter, we decided to make an American Alligator. We found a picture online so that she had something to go off of and she started creating. She even made some scenery, like water, grass, and a rock. She gave the rock som texture with an old hairbrush. It was quite clever. 
She used some of the tools to add some finishing touches as well.
Her American Alligator came out great!

World Play–Doh Day is on September 16th and it’s a day to celebrate all things Play-Doh, that millions of children and artists of all ages love to play with, all across the globe! Select sculpts will be chosen as part of the #WorldPlayDohDay Parade that will be featured on the Play–Doh Facebook page on September 16th.
Information about submitting your Play-Doh creation:
- Sculpts must be shared directly to the official Play–Doh Facebook page wall between August 16thand September 14th.
- Any sculpts submitted before or after said dates will not be considered.
- Sculpts cannot feature brand names, characters or pop-culture icons.
- Sculpts should be appropriate for a kid-friendly audience.
- You are encouraged to use your imagination and share your national pride with sculpts of landmarks, cultural icons, food, patriotic symbols, etc.
- Share as many sculpts to the Play–Doh Facebook page as you would like, and invite your family and friends to do the same.
