See Where it All Began in Monster’s University

It’s finally here! Monsters University is out for all to enjoy. This playful movie has a great storyline that follows Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan in their first semester as college students.

SYNOPSIS: Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer.  The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”), produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”) and features music from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and award-winning composer Randy Newman  (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story 3”). The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in 3D in select theaters.

We loved this movie! Now a days it seems movies give everything away in the previews but not the case for Monsters Inc. There are such great lessons to learn in this movie as well. The story takes you all the way back to Mike as a tiny child visiting the scare floor. This inspired him to go the distance and apply to the scare program at Monsters University. You’ll meet his roommate. Someone you know very well! Then you discover how Mike and Sully really became friends. Because it wasn’t right from the start.

Mike fights to prove himself to the school that he can be a scarer just like Sully. To prove this he has to join the OK’s, a not so scary greek group. But mike proves to be a great teacher and get the team to the top!

This movie is filled with tons of new and fun characters. You’ll also spot a few you remember from the first movie, Monsters Inc. So take the whole family out to see Monsters University. It’s a great film to start the summer off right!

Firebird is a solid dark romantasy read. You have dragon-shifter political leaders of Rome. A witch who I don’t think we have seen the full extent of her power yet. There were so many little side stories told that I believe our FMC will ...
Sunrise on the Reaping

Oh Haymich, my heart is shattered for you. This was the perfect bridge between The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes and Catching Fire. Linking the wickedness of The Hunger Games with the victors who came together to end them. If Suzanne C...

I am thoroughly enjoying the Hell Bent series. My Demon Hunter was even better than My Funny Demon Valentine. I’m a sucker for demonology stories, and these are filled with all kinds of interesting characters. This one features a plus-si...
