Discover a little leprechaun magic at Shamrock City on Saturday and Sunday, March 11, 12, 18 & 19, 2017 from 8:30am-5:00pm! Rock City hosts its 10th annual celebration with Irish food, drinks, bands, jig lessons, new activities for kids and much more!
See Rock City’s High Falls turned green, along with the fudge, kettle corn, limeade, select Starbucks drinks and more! Try some mulligan stew, corned beef and cabbage – or a Reuben! Watch how green fudge is made during fudge demonstrations in the famous Fudge Kitchen!
New this year is a Lucky the Leprechaun Kid’s Adventure where kids receive a color-your-own leprechaun cutout to take them on a magical adventure. The shamrocks lead the way to finding all of the “Pot of Gold” stamps throughout the park. Go on a Shamrock Quest and kiss the Blarney Stone, pan for gold and get a Lucky Makeover!
Hear live Irish, Scottish, Celtic and Highlands music at this event! Returning favorites include The Molly Maguires, The Chattanooga Pipe Band, Celtic Plain, Olta, Jennifer Daniels, and new this year is Carolina Ceili! Plus learn the Irish Jig or just be entertained by traditional Irish/Celtic dance performances!

Carolina Ceili (“kay-lee”) is comprised of 4 members from differing musical backgrounds, who come together to make Celtic music their own. From rousing fiddle tunes, to traditional and original songs and ballads with beautiful 4-party vocal harmonies, to contemporary arrangements of old favorites, Carolina Ceili brings a unique and crowd-pleasing sound to the world of Celtic music.

Located only six miles from downtown Chattanooga, Tenn., Rock City is a 14-acre natural and scenic attraction with unique rock formations and gardens atop Lookout Mountain.
Rock City is proud to once again partner with the MDA (Chattanooga District of the Muscular Dystrophy Association) for Shamrock City and participate in their Shamrocks for Dystrophy fundraiser.
Rock City will be selling Shamrocks for Dystrophy ($1 green, $5 gold) throughout the park beginning March 1 and throughout our Shamrock City event.
What your dollars will buy by supporting the MDA:
- $30 – One Flu Shot
- $70 – One minute of research
- $100 – One support group session
- $150 – One physical, occupation, or respiratory therapy consultation
- $200 – Initial diagnostic work-up at an MDA clinic
- $500 – Assists one person for one year with the repair of a wheelchair or leg braces
- $800 – Sends one child to MDA Summer Camp
The money raised during the Shamrocks against Dystrophy Campaign will help provide the above services to individuals living right here in our community.
