With the kids being out of school it’s nice to be able to have these get togethers any time we want. The daily grind of running around can finally slow down and enjoy each other’s company. Summer vacation is a time parents can chill out too. No rushing around all day, and in my case double time with school, college and daycare pick ups and drop offs! 
Big beautiful veggies, steaks, potato salad and cole slaw. Don’t forget to save room for dessert too! Nothing rounds out your summer meals like an ice cream sundae. Get sticky and then go back outside and play in the sprinkler. How can you resist giving ice cream to a sweet face like this?

We ADORE grilling out in summer – even dessert. Grilled pineapple?? YUM. Dixie products make it easier, so we can spend time as a family having fun instead of doing dishes!
We cookout along the river by our house, there are tons of nice areas. We grill burgers, hot dogs and veggies. Actually my hubby does, he is the Grill Master 🙂
