A few weeks ago I took my girls to see Inside Out again. I took my oldest the first time but I wanted to have a fun day at the theater with my youngest as well. Plus, I knew she would love the movie. We were invited to see the movie in Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime. Which if you’ve never been to one, is a seriously cool experience.
My girls love going to the movies with me. I have only taken the little one to a few so far, mainly because I’m never sure if she will make it to the end without getting restless, but I knew she would love it.
AMC Prime theaters have these big comfy recliners that you can move into just the right spot to stay comfortable. You can even pull the center armrest up for extra snuggling. My girls had fun testing out the recliners and getting them into the position that they wanted. Peanut kept the armrest up so that she could snuggle with me during the movie. The Dolby Cinema aspect of seeing the movie is pretty awesome. It combines the exceptional image quality of Dolby Vision with the moving audio of Dolby Atmos. The audio is so powerful you can feel it under your seat. The girls would start giggling at loud parts of the movies because they said it felt like a space ship, or that we were actually in the movie. I can only imagine what it would be like to see an action movie!
I love the amount of room you get in these theaters also. Room to spread out with all your snacks and legs. My only complaint is that they are assigned seating. You have to pick your seats out when you purchase your tickets, which I didn’t realize and ended up being told I needed to move because I was in their spot. When you’re used to getting to a movie early to snag the best seats it’s hard to make that change.
We had a blast though. We stocked up on dollar store candy before we got there. We also grabbed a big bowl of popcorn to munch during the movie. You can’t watch a movie without popcorn. I think by the time Inside Out comes out on Blu-Ray, we’ll have the movie memorized by heart.
If you’re looking for an awesome movie experience, you have to check out the Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime. Find a theater near you.
Looks like such a fun theater! I am going to have to make some time to get there.
