Swaddling a new baby is a must for new parents. You learn very quickly that it will soothe your baby and help them sleep. But as your baby gets older and bigger it becomes harder and harder to “contain” your baby with just a good swaddling blanket. I had this very same problem with my baby. But then I discovered an awesome product that allowed me to swaddle her longer and leaving my sanity in tact. It’s called the Woombie.

The Woombie was designed by a RN & Certified Infant Care Specialist, providing the safest and most comfortable swaddle for your baby. Gently hugging the shoulders, tummy and hips, the Woombie allows for natural movement, softly cocooning your baby without restricting mobility or development. The fabric mimics the feeling of touch and cuddle, re-creating the womb environment that baby felt prior to birth, which is so important for calming baby and preventing flailing arms. The Woombie has been shown to promote a more natural and peaceful sleep environment for infants resulting in longer periods of sleep with less restlessness- which is why Infant Care Experts recommend the Woombie to institute successful sleep patterns from birth to 6 months. The Woombie prevents issues such as startling, face scratching, overheating and dangerous loose unraveled blankets from covering baby’s face.

We LOVE this product. When my daughter got too big to be swaddled I was able to still use the Woombie on her. She would break out her hands and rub her eyes, knock the pacifier from her mouth and scratch herself while sleeping. With the Woombie I was able to securer her so that she would sleep longer and fall asleep faster. She needed to be held tight or snuggled in order to fall asleep so this was the perfect product to help us with that.

The Woombie is made out of super stretchy cotton blend that forms a snug cocoon around your baby. It hugs the hips waste and arms to give the ultimate safe swaddle. The hips section is snug enough to help calm but not too tight to cause hip dysplasia. The peanut shape is what earned my little one the nickname Lil’ Peanut because she always looked so snug and comfy in it.

Woombie SwaddlersWoombie has been such a huge hit that there are tons of designs to choose from. The Woombie Air is pictured about but there are thicker ones for Winter, Organic fabric as well. Check them out! If you have a baby that NEEDS to be swaddled this is a must have because chances are they will grow out of the blankets long before they want to stop being swaddled.
