As a working mother I’m not always good about packing my lunch to save money. So I look for places that are a good price and tasty food to stay away from the quick and easy fast food that does not agree well with my thighs. I was recovering from a stomach bug and really couldn’t handle anything harsh on my stomach. So I was on the search for a local place close to my office that served soup. Not frozen soup shipped from across country in a bag and thawed that day. I wanted homemade family recipe soup so I started Googling.
I found The Corner Bistro in the Towne Lake community. Located at the entrance of Towne Lake near the Mellow Mushroom, Wendy’s and across the street from the Kani House. Tucked back in the corner is the best Bistro I’ve ever been to. With a massive menu of choices from French Onion soup, homemade coleslaw, to breakfast, and Boars Head meats and cheeses. The owners Michael Farrar and his Mother Shelly Farrar have taken a long line of family recipes and shared it with the community through their bistro and catering.
They have daily Soups, quiche and fruits of the day. Giving you plenty of choices to choose from depending on what your in the mood for. Offering free delivery with 3 miles to local businesses and homes with no minimum required it makes me want to buy a home in Towne Lake so I can get it more often. Have a special event coming up? Office party? They also offer catering services. Thank goodness they share recipes on their website in case there was something your dying to make at home.
Every time I’ve been in I was greeted by the friendliest staff. Extremely helpful in making a good choice and patient with me because there are so many tasty options its hard picking just one. The food comes out fast and fresh sometimes from Shelly herself. She thoroughly checks to make sure we aren’t missing anything and that we are enjoying it. Which I promise you will have no trouble with. I really enjoy meeting owners that are there nearly everyday getting their hands dirty with the crew. Interacting with the guests to make sure their experience is a memorable one.

I checked out the website and menu and love that they cater vegetarians also. It is so frustrating for me when we eat out that I can’t actually have anything on the menu! I will sure stop in when we are in the area.
