So I’ve jumped on the bandwagon and started trying out some essential oils. I recently got a copy of The Complete Aromatherapy & Essential Oils Handbook for Everyday Wellness, which talks about 109 different essential oils and 450 ways that you can use them. So I’ve been trying different blends with my family.
For instance, my youngest daughter has a hard time falling asleep in the evening and an even harder time staying asleep. So I’ve made a blend of lavender and chamomile to help her relax before bedtime. I dilute it with a fixed carrier oil like Nature’s Bounty® Earthly Elements™ Sweet Almond Oil that you can get at Walmart.
It's important always dilute essential oils with FCO (fixed carrier oil) if you are using them on your body.
My oldest has trouble focusing in school sometimes; she just wants to play, so I've been using an attention blend on her to help her get in the right frame of mind to focus better during instructional time.
It’s pretty awesome that you don’t have to spend a fortune on essential oils to test them out. Plus, you can buy what you want instead of the whole essentials oils line. They are located near the pharmacy with the health and wellness section.
I also got some lemongrass and eucalyptus because of their refreshing qualities. I put them in the diffuser and enjoy them all day long while I'm working from home. Lemongrass is my favorite; I've always loved the way it smells.
There is a handful of essential oils to choose from in Nature’s Bounty® Earthly Elements™ collection.
