I was selected to host a Disney Side @ Home Celebration. We were sent some fun things to get our party started!
My little Peanut turns two this month so we held a fun Disney Side at Home Celebration. We are huge Disney fans so we went all out with lots of fun activities for the kids to do. Everyone wore their favorite Disney inspired outfit or costume. I dressed as my favorite feisty princess. Can you guess who I was?
We had a fantastic photo booth that guests could come and grab their favorite Disney prop or ears and snap a picture with. Some of the girls couldn’t tear themselves away from taking pictures. They took pictures with every single prop on the table. I’ve been giggling looking at all the pictures. We used two plastic table clothes that I found at the dollar store for the back drop. We folded it in half and cut it into strips. I braided the tops to get it some texture and mix up the colors a little. We packed all of our Mickey and Minnie ears into our American Tourister bag. I even made a chalkboard sign that people could write their own Disney message.
The kids and their mothers all got to make a fun t-shirt. They choose from Tinkerbell, Mickey Mouse, The Incredibles, Magic Kingdom, and Ariel. I then made a dot art outline of the object. The kids got creative with their designs but the moms had just as much fun making the shirts as the kids. In another area we made Hidden Mickey Bubble art! Food coloring and some bubbles made beautiful pictures for the kids to find hidden Mickey mouse heads in. After a few tries they just wanted to blow bubbles around.
We had some yummy treats to snack on also. Mickey Mouse sugar cookies. Special cupcakes from Sprinkles Atlanta that had a custom Show your Disney Side logo on them that you could eat! Main street inspired popcorn too. We listen to Disney music from our favorite movies. We didn’t end up playing the Bingo game because they kids were having so much fun that we forgot all about it. Everyone had a fantastic time celebrating Peanut’s birthday and showing their Disney Side.
Check out all the great pictures on Facebook.
