When the Sun Goes On Vacation, Just Be You

I haven’t seen the sun in awhile. I’ve been using a sun stimulation lamp to try and ward of the Winter blues, but of course it just isn’t the same. I should be out enjoying the changing leaves in the mountains where I grew up, but instead I’m stuck inside the house with cabin fever with my computer in “the shop” and chilly weather rolling in. Then I realized I can make the best of this situation by doing something I haven’t had a chance to do in weeks. Sit on my porch with a cup of Oh My Yog! Apple Cinnamon and a cup or coffee, wrapped in my prAna Vinyasa Hoodie, while I catch up on some reading while the rain falls in the background.

Getting lost in a good book is something I do every so often. When it’s a really good one, my husband claims that he doesn’t get to see my eyes for a few days. I found myself sitting on the back porch this week, as the rain brought in the cool air. So I snuggled into my prAna Vinyasa Hoodie, grabbed my breakfast and my book to enjoy the sound of the falling rain. 

It’s the way to just be me, in my element when the rain forces my family into depression. I can escape cabin fever and dive into a fantasy dystopian timeline with action and suspense. I express myself every day with the choices I make to choose organic when it is available.
