Patriotic Popcorn

  • 4 cups popcorn popped
  • 1/2 cup blue candy melts
  • 1/2 cup red candy melts
  • Red and blue sprinkles optional


  1. Lay popcorn on a piece of parchment paper or wax paper
  2. Melt red candy melts either in a bowl or a squeeze bottle meant for candy melting
  3. If you are melting the candy melts in a bowl, scoop the melted chocolate into a plastic bag, snip a corner of the bag.
  4. Squeeze red chocolate evenly over popcorn, repeat the above steps with the blue chocolate.
  5. If you are adding sprinkles, add them now before the chocolate hardens.
  6. Place the popcorn in the fridge for 5 minutes to expedite hardening
  7. Break into pieces and serve in festive popcorn bowls.
