Sorry we missed S.T.E.M. Saturday last week, it’s been a busy summer so far. But we visited the Children’s Museum of Atlanta to check out the new XOXO: An exhibit about love and forgiveness. It is located in the morph gallery and includes some interesting thought provoking questions for kids. img_7985.jpg

XOXO is an exhibit that asks children to explore their feelings. They will play, act silly and consider what makes them sad, mad and happy. They will ask questions, listen and learn more about the people around them. They will definitely share, connect, converse, think and feel. This exhibit encourages children (and their caregivers) to take a deep breath and explore these powerful feelings and the effects they have on yourself and on others.img_7981.jpg

Kids will be able to do things like, Release the Negative by writing down something sad or something that made them anger then send it through to the shredder to release it. They can also create tokens of love the same way, by writing a message of love onto a sheet of paper and then pressing it into a token to take home with them and give to the person they wrote it for. My girls favorite part was the Emotions Wall where they recorded their emotions and then they appeared along side other children on the wall. img_7996.jpg

Here is our video form inside the exhibit.
